| Experience: | I am a first year law student at the University of Connecticut. I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago in 2007. I majored in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (Middle Eastern history, politics and languages).
I have 8 years tutoring experience.
For the past five years I tutored a young, Korean speaking student in ESL and general homework help. During that time her reading, writing, and speaking improved drastically. She is now consistently at the top of her class.
During college, I also co-taught a summer ESL class for refugees and tutored (non-ESL) elementary school children, including one student with significant learning disabilities. During high school, I tutored all subjects through the senior level and have had the opportunity to re-visit much of this information as I tutor my younger brother.
I prefer to tutor English reading and writing, Social Studies and general study/organization skills.
I am also very interested in working with college applicants on essays and personal statements.
My time is split between Hartford and New Haven. I have listed the times I am available in New Haven, please contact me if you are in the Hartford area for additional times.
